These census lists were included in History of Browns Grove & Burdett, Kansas, 1876-1976.
Arlene Notestine Todd and Jean Bindley Thompson compiled the information for the book,
and Laurel Busch transcribed the names for use here.
It appears that the names are heads of households and that the numbers refer to census family numbers.

The book is alphabetized by the fathers surname, then the given name
and age on the first line. The next line gives the mothers maiden name,
given name and age. The following line gives the initial (M) for male
or (F) for female, then the name, if given, and birthdate. The last line
gives the location and reference book and page number it was copied from
in the County Clerks office of the Woodson County Courthouse.
